Out of the 20 busiest airports in the world by passenger traffic for the first 8 months of 2010 are 7 U.S. airports, 5 European airports, 7 Asian airports and 1 from the Middle East. Combined, over 700 million passengers travel through these airports during the first eight months of 2010. Compared to last year, Asian and particularly Chinese airports have been seeing the most increase in traffic.

Airport authorities expect one million passengers to travel through the new terminal the first year – but there is already some doubt about the 37 million dollar investment.
