The DARPA Falcon Project is planned to complete its second test flight today. The Falcon Project (Force Application and Launch from Continental United States) is a joint venture between the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the United States Air Force (USAF).
The ICAO or NATO Spelling Alphabet, also called the phonetic alphabet, is the most commonly used spelling alphabet. The alphabet was developed by ICAO and later implemented by several other organizations such as NATO and FAA and has become the standard spelling alphabet.
China‘s stealth fighter, Chengdu J-20, made is first flight on 11th of January, 2011. The fifth generation stealth, twin-engine fighter aircraft prototype was developed by Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group for the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force. It’s expected to be in service by 2017 – 2019. The Chengdu J-20 prototype was shown in flight to civilians and military personnel earlier this month. Photos of it began surfacing the internet last week.
The famous British Aerospace Harrier will retire next year from the UK military as a result of the Strategic Defence and Security Review. It made its last flight from an aircraft carrier on the 24th of November when four Harrier jets took off from HMS Ark Royal for the last time.
