An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800 returned to the gate in Miami after reports of threatening behavior by two passengers prompted the crew to initiate a cockpit lockdown. Authorities later determined there was no credible threat, but the passengers were removed from the flight.

A Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200 was evacuated in Atlanta after smoke and fumes were reported shortly after takeoff on a flight to Orlando. The aircraft returned safely to the airport, but passengers were later evacuated via emergency slides.

KLM will resume flights between Amsterdam and Tel Aviv on August 25, ending a six-month suspension caused by regional security concerns. The airline will restart the route with additional precautions, including overnight crew stops in Cyprus instead of Israel.

Airbus recorded 204 orders in July, pushing its 2026 total to more than 1,000 net orders as demand remained strong across both airline & leasing customers. Major deals from SMBC Aviation Capital, Chinese airlines & flynas helped drive another strong month for the manufacturer.
