An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800 returned to the gate in Miami after reports of threatening behavior by two passengers prompted the crew to initiate a cockpit lockdown. Authorities later determined there was no credible threat, but the passengers were removed from the flight.

A Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200 was evacuated in Atlanta after smoke and fumes were reported shortly after takeoff on a flight to Orlando. The aircraft returned safely to the airport, but passengers were later evacuated via emergency slides.

KLM will resume flights between Amsterdam and Tel Aviv on August 25, ending a six-month suspension caused by regional security concerns. The airline will restart the route with additional precautions, including overnight crew stops in Cyprus instead of Israel.
